This is Jony during his treatment at Shiners hospitals.

Dr  Craig and Susan at the airport taking  Jony and Mima to Hawaii for their treatment in Shrine’s children hospital . Dr Rezaul Karim accompanied them to assist in the care and interpretation. Jony had club foot since birth. He could not walk properly, with time his feet got more deformed. He went through couple of surgery in his feet before receiving extensive physical therapy. Aloha medical mission paid for his treatment. The little boy can now walk and run like a regular kid and very great full to get a normal life by the help of this mission.

This image was taken in a post operative room of Aloha Hospital; Naogaon, where a renowned anesthesiologist from Germany along with her fellow surgeon, is checking out a patient’s condition after surgery. Each and every patient in this particular hospital was closely monitored round the clock during the period and after being operated. They were discharged after few days accordingly after the completion of the evaluation of their physical condition. The dedication and care of the German surgeons and nurses were also excellent. They were very much energetic and always accomplished their tasks with dedication an a big smile on their face.

This child had severe soft tissue infection in her both legs.  The skin lesions were deep and pus filled. Since the child was already malnourished, she was unable to walk .Her parents had to carry her every day to ASSB hospital for the, where the German nurses every day cleaned her wound and applied medicine. The conditions of her legs were better over the two weeks repeated treatment. She had to continue medicine for the next couple of weeks. Her parents were so happy to see their child   finally being treated. Since mobarakpur is a very remote village, there was no nearby health facility in 9 kilometer radius, where the mode of transportation is either walking / bicycle/rickshaw van. The little girl’s disease could have been treated in the beginning if she got proper medical attention on time. My special thanks to the German doctors and nurses who did a great job by bringing back smile to that innocent face.

DR. Munjerina Ahmed was helping DR. Joerg, who is famously known as “DR P” amongst us. Out here she is working as an interpreter between him and the patients. It was early in the morning where people were waiting in queue for obtaining free consultation and check up, since dawn.
